Jigyasa Samaj Kalyan Kendra Run Appan Pathshala & Various Educational Program’ has been working for more than 8 years to ensure quality elementary education for children, especially girls and those from marginalized communities, to help them become the leaders and change makers of the future. We see education as an imperative tool for girls to realize their maximum potential by gaining crucial skills and dispositions that set them on the path of social and economic empowerment. Our programmes work through building learning ecosystems that are inclusive, gender conscious, and safe for all. Our education initiatives work in accordance with the Right to Education Act (2009) and National Education Policy 2020. Bringing drop-out children back to school Providing stationary, uniform, Books, Bag, Milk, Fruits, & Bisucuits and necessary support to under-privileged children Ensuring mental well-being – We focus one-on-one monitoring sessions for children to keep them engaged Regular counseling of parents to ensure the child’s participation in school.


We run two types of educational institutional activities: (i) Appan Pathshala, (ii) Ambedkar Siksha Sadan
“Appan Pathshala”
was initiated by Jigyasa Samaj Kalyan Kendra in different blocks in Muzaffarpur and West Champaran Districts of Bihar. “APPAN PATHSHALA” program started in 2017 in the campus of Muktidham, Sikandarpur, Muzaffarpur (Bihar). Where death bodies are cremated. APPAN PATHASHALA was started with a view to teaching the students who is specially belongs to the following categories:-

  1. Dowantodden children especially for special cast belongs to SC/ST who work at Palace Mukti Dham Shamshan Ghat and considered to untouchable.
  2. Children whose father is cart puller and mother washing dishes and mopping in other house to fulfill their requirements especially food and cloth but they not fulfilling other requirements like School Fee, Dress, Books, Pens their children so they leave their studies and starting helping their parents as earning member.
  3. Economically weaker children without classification of caste, religion do not go to good school because of their parents bad economic condition.
  4. Garbage picker children is found in slums area and they are often seen picking garbage in our society.
    Those who pick up the garbage on the streets and road and pick up fruits, money and other things from the mortal remains of Muktidham, now have slates and pencils, copies and pens in their hands. Children who live on the Footpath are now building character. In Muktidham, Sikanderpur, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) children are getting freedom from illiteracy and disrespect and development of character and morality is happening. With free education in “Appan Pathshala” being run by Jigyaasa Samaj Kalyan Kendra in Muktidham, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) now arrangements for complete nutrition because a healthy mind is formed from a healthy body, only a healthy mind is able to accept and hold knowledge, hence nutrition in children. Half a liter of milk has been arranged for each of the children to meet the demand.
